Company History
Phoenix Solar Australia was established in July 2008 as a subsidiary of Phoenix Solar AG, Germany. With its regional headquarters in Adelaide, South Australia, Phoenix Solar Pty Ltd is situated in the capital of the sunniest state of the world’s sunniest country. We believe in Australia as a strong growth market for solar electricity.
Phoenix Solar AG was established on 18 November 1999 and was entered in the commercial register on 07 January 2000. Its headquarters are located in Hirschbergstraße 8 in 85254 Sulzemoos, near Munich, with a branch in Ulm, sales offices all over Germany and subsidiaries in Southern Europe, Asia and Australia. In the frame of the increasing internationalisation, the company changed its name from Phönix SonnenStrom AG to Phoenix Solar AG in June 2007.
Phoenix Solar AG plans, builds and undertakes the operation of large photovoltaic plants and is a specialist wholesaler for complete power plants, solar modules and accessories. The Group is a leader in photovoltaic system technology. It focuses on the consistent lowering of system costs. The Group currently has a workforce of more than 230 employees. The shares of Phoenix Solar AG (ISIN DE000A0BVU93) are listed on the official market (Prime Standard) of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and on the TecDAX, Deutsche Börse AG’s technology index.
