Now available through Phoenix Solar, SOLYNDRA is a totally new concept in photovoltaic systems developed for flat roofs and roofs with a low pitch. Consisting of cylindrical tubes equipped with CIGS (Copper Indium Gallium Selenide) cells, SOLYNDRA uses direct as well as indirect and reflected light. The special design of the system enables almost complete coverage of the roof and shorter installation times. These advantages significantly increase the system‘s cost-effectiveness compared to conventional solar energy systems with flat glass modules.

SOLYNDRA dispenses with additional substructures and thus achieves substantial weight reductions. This means that solar power can now be generated on low load-bearing roofs, without roof penetration or other anchorage.
